Escaping

the ordinary

Eva grew up in a family of restaurateurs, with hospitality running through her veins. After studying hotel management, she gained international experience working in hotels around the world. She eventually returned to her beloved Bruges to fulfill her lifelong dream: creating a sustainable boutique hotel that reflects her values and passion.

Eva is joined by her partner, Niels, a history enthusiast with a flair for storytelling. Niels offers guests unique guided tours, taking them to castles and abbeys around Bruges in one of his vintage cars, or to the historic Flanders Fields. He also leads captivating walking tours through medieval Bruges, sharing hidden gems and fascinating stories.

Together, Eva and Niels form the perfect team, devoted to pampering their guests, showcasing the best local spots, and helping visitors experience the authentic charm of Bruges. Every decision made at the hotel reflects their commitment to sustainability: they collaborate with local artisans and suppliers, proudly hold a Green Key label for their eco-conscious efforts, and furnish the hotel with carefully selected antique pieces.

“Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We
have enjoyed our stay with you immensely! In fact,
The Malleberg is one of the nicest small hotels I
have ever stayed in, not only the welcome but the
attractiveness of the hotel itself.

You are amazing hosts and we wish you all the
best for the future.

Ps: The homemade food is delicious!”
